Praying Mantis and a Bee

While visiting the garden centre this morning to buy some bags of compost, I spotted this rather large praying mantis munching his way through the remains of a bee. According the the assistant there, the mantis had been enjoying his meal for a little while. 

I only had my phone with me (tut tut), but I am quite pleased with the result.
