Esthwaite Water
The weather was set fair (and little wind) so we got up early (for us) and headed north into the lakes First stop, Esthwaite Water just south of Hawkshead. There was plenty of mist and it was very atmospheric. Reflections amazing too. From there to Tarn Hows and we were first in the carpark after the National Trust guys. I walked around the lake and it must have been the first time I had it to myself. The light wasn't as good by this point but it was lovely even so.
From here to the Bluebird Cafe for coffee and then onto SY Gondola for a cruise around the head of Coniston Water. The boat is due to be taken out of the water for the winter in the next few days so we wanted to experience it again before then. Lovely. A couple of extras of Esthwaite and Tarn Hows.
Great day.
