Gorgeous beach
Backblip
We had a good breakfast and then started our journey back home. We took a detour going through Drumbeg where we stopped at the Candle shop and secret garden. We sat outside and enjoyed a coffee and homemade cake. We bought a candle too, the whole, tiny shop smelt wonderful :)
Along roads where you had to concentrate on driving , not sure how camper vans manage some of it. We walked up to Stoer lighthouse with fantastic views over the sea and back to the mountains of Assynt . I had forgotten that there was a sea-stack closeby and the weather was not the best anyway. So pleased to see a toilet there too, I was getting desperate ;)
Onto Achmelvich Bay, where the sun came out and we had a lovely time walking on the beach, sitting on the rocks just looking at the colours of the sea and listening to the gentle waves. I even had a paddle, it was cold !
As we drove on towards Ullapool we spotted some deer on the hilltops but they were the only ones we saw.
I had noticed some nice copper bowls and a teapot when we were in Ullapool a few weeks ago and had regretted not buying them as they would make a good display for the Harvest Festival next week so was pleased they were still there and cheap too so we managed to squeeze them into the car :)
Back home in time for tea :)
