Day 17 - The Ghan

A backblip as we boarded the Ghan at Alice Springs in the afternoon and travelled overnight to Darwin. It was something I had been looking forward to and was a tremendous experience. We really enjoyed sitting in the dining car as we passed through the outback although we didn't see a great deal of wildlife.

The extra shows kwdiane walking alongside the train (it was 1km long). The other extra is a yellow throated miner (I think)
