We attended a funeral in the village this morning, a very sad day for a lot of people. We didn’t know Christine well although she always gave a cheerful smile and happy comment when meeting in the village shop. The weather was glorious, we estimated nearly two hundred mourners in the church and a very fitting service was delivered by the stand in minister. John and I walked home and fortunately he had a phone to record this view near the church.
