We Survived
A peaceful night was had and the little ones woke up at 7 a.m. and 7:30. Respectable.
Breakfast of banana/egg pancakes (whizzed together and dolloped in a frying pan), blueberries and sausages… :-)
Then to Wetherby for me to collect my new specs and we also treated the eldest granddaughter to a bicycle (a secondhand one) from the bike shop in town.
Back home for coffee / snacks and to wait for our daughter to stir from her slumber - and then we arranged to meet at Lotherton Hall. Daughter said it felt odd leaving home with no baby for the first time in 14 months!
Big mistake going to Lotherton - it was absolutely heaving (half term and a Halloween Trail). We couldn’t get near the cafe for our lunch and the playground was overrun. So we managed a short walk - and eldest granddaughter rode her new bike for some it. Complete waste of our combined £28 admission fee! Shame on you Leeds City Council - you need to upgrade the facilities to host events like this.
I did get a blip though - this brilliantly red tree (with photobomber reclining skeleton)!
We went on to a garden centre for a cuppa and snack - and I spotted a wonderful present idea for the person who has everything (staph A, E Coli, listeria) see extra.
Little ones returned to Mum and we made our escape
