Up close and personal!

Still feeling less than par, and the weather being very hot and humid, there was no way Paladian was happy about me getting up to go outside to get a blip. So she is on stand-in duty again today. At least I made the actual choice of image, crop etc and put together a few words!

There was not much around today other than bees, so bees it is - but I'll guarantee that you have rarely seen this angle of a bee's head before! Seen more symmetrical in LARGE.

This is just your regular feral honey bee, and the beauty of them is that they are flying fairly slowly given the nasty weather, and therefore it's relatively easy to get a different angle. This is a view looking down the bees face - a view I have never ever seen before.
