Understated Halloween

Back home we thought it a busy evening if we had six children call at the door for Halloween treats, but here it has been non stop since about 5pm.  As the night draws on the callers grow older and word has got around that there are 'London sweets' at no.4!!

I spent a couple of hours blipping the costumes in Salem this afternoon and the rain did not deter them.  It was like Steampunk Halloween.  In the midst of horned devils and green faced witches, this young girl passed by quietly on the other side of the street with her determined air and upturned umbrella, reminding me of Wednesday from the Addams Family.
