Fuller at Fifty

Dear Diary,

A marvelous visit to the Fuller Craft Museum where the main exhibit was “Striking Gold”. My favorite piece was the spun gold bird’s nest. There was also an exhibit of the human cost of the opioid epidemic, very moving, and a quilt exhibit on social justice issues.

The rain let up just in time for the trick or treaters to prowl the streets and we had over 100 little ones. That was a really treat for me, it’s been years since I’ve handed out candy.

Today we are going to see the premiere of “Harriet” the movie about the life of Harriet Powers. I’v so excited about that. After just seeing, first hand, the locations of her early story it will be wonderful to see the story enacted on the big screen.
