Charity success

This afternoon the Arnside Ladies’ Choir gave a charity concert in the Womens’ Institute.

The Charity which will benefit from the comcert is Action on Postpartum Psychosis. This is a very serious mental health condition which affect a small number of women after childbirth. It can be devastating to the mother and to the family. The mother of a close friend in the village suffered and never recovered.

There was a packed house and with admission money and a very well supported raffle, several hundred pounds was raised.

A very worthwhile afternoon.
