Windermere

Disappointed to wake up to rain this morning after many days of glorious sunshine.   Reckoned I was going to get wet anyway so no reason not to carry on down to Windermere for an early morning swim.   One of my orienteering chums was already in the changing rooms preparing to go in "skins". This, I have learned, is the wild swimmers terminology for  swimming without a wetsuit - mad woman!  In fact there were three mad women and one mad man and it's now November!!.  Not including me I hasten to add, toasty warm, well almost, in my wetsuit, gloves and socks. The water temperature was 10.6 °C.  Picture taken after the swim before retiring to a cafe for some hot breakfast
