Hanging controls

Out early this morning to hang some controls for tomorrow’s event at Skipwith Common. Relieved to have got the more remote controls out before the rain arrived. When we planned the event the Common was very dry. What a change over the past week or two. This depression should be dry! There is no way you can keep dry feet even waterproof socks are challenged!

When hanging the controls we need to carry stakes, kites (markers) and the si unit with the correct code on it. It is surprisingly time consuming to navigate to the feature and then ensure everything is correct. One down and another 62 to go. Although half will go out tomorrow morning before the event.
