Away Again

All packed up and off again! Another adventure with The Kensington, towing well on a trip down the M6. We arrived at the little caravan site we use in Great Haywood to be told the site wasn't in use. They had had bad flooding of a couple off feet across the property and the electric supply to the CL was still off.

We needed to be handy for our boat syndicate AGM in the village tomorrow so we asked if we could stay anyhow, after all, in the old days we had no electric hook-ups. We didn't even have electic! (We loved relief of finding that we had some new mantles with us and the gentle hiss of the gas lights.)

Then came the disappointment. We had been given a wrong water pump replacement! For the 3rd trip away in a month we were storing water in pans and ladeling it out. We drove to two caravan parts dealers, the second of which told us the part had been obsolete for 10 years!

It was little consolation but I bought this little gadget. I'm sure we'll find it useful next season when the shows begin again.
