Rutilated Quartz

For many years I had a gem shop. I spent my days surrounded by beautiful stones and jewellery and also people who believed in the power of these stones.

I found this one yesterday and knew i'd want to blip it, I was just sorry it didn't find its way home with me until today.

It's a crystal of quartz formed around needles of rutile, an ore of titanium. The fine needles of rutile are sometimes reddish which gives it its name from Latin rutilis. It's believed to promote spiritual growth and energize the aura.
