Under a Black Cloud?
Firstly, a huge big thank you to everybody for all the stars and hearts for yesterday's Torrisdale sunrise. The response was simply amazing and I really appreciate all the generous comments. It feels a bit strange after the blipping lows of December and early January to be back on a high, thanks mainly to all you wonderful people out there in Blipland!
As we all know, the morning after the night before can be difficult, so I was pleased to see the overnight rain had cleared by the morning and there was a suggestion of a sunrise. The colours were never going to match those of the last couple of days so I contented myself with catching the sun breaking the horizon as a small dark cloud passed overhead. While it might be construed as a black cloud hanging over you, nothing could be further from the truth. I was one very happy blipper today!
As I stood in one of my favourite positions a flock of Curlews flew overhead and I was tempted to post the blip of them as they rose from the beach in the distance. You might just be able to make them out in the linked shot. I counted 30 of them. I decided against it as the sun is a bit blown out. Instead I went with the black cloud, which I like!
