Dawn. New day. New life. More tea required.

This is a pretty rubbish photograph. But it's what we can see from our front window, so that, by itself, made it worth putting up here.

Also.... it's dawn. I was up at 6am because of the jet-lag. And we all know that's not going to happen very often. So there's the novelty value too....

Today started out with grand plans to open bank accounts, apply for Social Security numbers, maybe browse car lots, get a new SIM card, buy groceries. But so far, there's been tea and looking at the view. There's been J and R debating whether those blobs they can see are seals or sea otters. So far, the seals and sea otters have won out over more form-filling at the bank.
