Back within its banks

Hurray! The Thames is at long last confined to its banks (just!).

The sun came out at 3pm and it was a good excuse to cycle into town and get some weekend food supplies. This was taken from Abbey Meadow where the light was fantastic. I think that was the only warmth / sun we get for quite some time: snow is predicted on Sunday.

Two weeks ago this group of trees and the bench were totally surrounded by water (see the centre of my blip of Dec 27 - where the bench is just a tiny speck on large).

I've only just got back and we wil be cycling back to town later to have dinner. We hope to try the newly refurbished Nag's Head.
