Dusk over Marathon

The Marathon runners run around this field with the Athenian grave-mound, filled with all who lost their lives in 490 BC when fighting off the Persians.
Getting here from Athens, I'd taken the pass across the Pentelis mountain, what reaches 1100 metres high up, and then got down to artificial Lake Marathon and toured around till picturing sunset as shown; and back to the flat of friends in Rafina.

Earlier in the day I'd visited in Athens Sweetheart's cousin and her baby-son and ofcourse passed on our presents for her first-born ~ maternity visits I always treasure (see extra)
