Lea
A cold day, windy and sunny. Clear skies tonight.
Another lazy morning around the house, and getting frustrated waiting on the washing machine to finish. Some walkies before I picked up friend Julie and Keba. We went for a run out west, and taking the dogs for a walk, also popped by Gonfirth kirk. A lazy evening by the fire, and the telly on.
The main walk took us over the top of the hill, and down to the old croft house. I've blipped this house a couple of times from the inside, but it's fairly collapsed since my last visit, and too dangerous to go in now. The main roof is sagging, and may easily fall with another winter of gales. A lonely setting, but stunning views over the west to Vementry and Papa Stour. If only I was a millionaire, I'd have all these crofts livable again. Taken at Lea, East Burrafirth.
