Isle Madame

Terry and headed off last night to a part of the island i haven't been to before...Isle Madame.  It is in the south east part of Cape Breton, so only about a 2 hour drive for us!   We rented an airbnb which was fabulous, the whole house to ourselves, quiet, clean and with all that you need!   We got there early evening, and headed out for dinner at a place about 8 minutes away!   The Groundswell Pub...it was fabulous, live music, great food and such reasonable prices.

Saturday morning and it was bright and sunny so i headed to the beach, only 3-4 minutes away...and had a wonderful hour or so wandering about.  Watching the gulls dance over the waves!

In the afternoon we went out for a bit of an exploration.   This area is amazing, so much coastline, so many small and tiny islands!

Evening and we headed back to the Groundswell pub for dinner again...this time i only had their amazing house salad....the best balsamic dressing i've ever had, so i could have their New York cheesecake, it did not disappoint.   We had a lovely evening, chatting with the owner, who was also the waiter....about being in the tourism business, the pros and cons., it was a lively conversation for sure.  All the while the Beatles played on the sound system...the owner apparently is a huge Beatles nut!!!
