Halloween Joy?

I never have been a particular fan of Halloween, even long before the politicians attempted to commandeer the date for seemingly nothing more than political gain.
So the prospect of entering the specially erected “haunted house” feature at Southampton’s West Quay mall had little attraction for me. 

I don’t doubt those who ventured inside found the experience sufficiently rewarding, but for me I was happy not to share that encounter.  A bit like many of the politicians and their regard for the significance of the Halloween date!
