Iconic Glasgow landmark

I was at the Golden Jubilee hospital in Glasgow this afternoon regarding my second knee replacement.

This hospital is state-of-the-art running with superb efficiency and I was at the receiving end of it today.  Within minutes of meeting my consultant I had signed the necessary paperwork and booked for a pre-op assessment tomorrow afternoon!

It was founded in 1877 following a bequest from tobacco baron Stephen Mitchell,  and it’s accessible to everyone for research, inspiration and enjoyment and contains some of the finest collections of books available in any public library.
