On the first frost of winter...

Tonight the first frost of the season is predicted, so we have moved delicate plants to sheltered spots.
 
Meanwhile we’ve had a busy day gardening, clearing away the leaves, and preparing for the winter.
 
How are we all coping with lockdown in all its various forms? One thing it has taught us is that there is no longer any point in keeping certain items- china, cutlery, clothes “ for best”. Put them into everyday use and get pleasure out of them when you can.
 
It could be months before we can hope to have friends in the house again.
