City Observatory

I couldn’t believe it – it was still raining when I left the house this morning.  Thankfully, by the time I got to Edinburgh it had stopped.  It was another grey day – but as if by magic it brightened up.  The temperature dropped, the sky went blue and the sun came out.  What a difference.  I made myself go out for a walk at lunchtime, as there had been cakes and snacks at a Divisional mid-morning get together.  It was a delicious spread.  I went up and over Calton Hill for the first time in months, stopping in here on my circular route back to the office.  I knew it would be dangerous! 

I worked late and then got the bus home, and even though it felt like I grazed all day, I was ready for my tea.
