Maid of the Loch

is the last paddle steamer built in Britain in 1953. She sailed on Loch Lomond from 1953 till 1981 when she was removed from service. Berthed at Balloch pier she fell into a poor state of decay. In 1993 a restoration project was launched, the main aim being to restore her back to working order and to resume sailings on the loch.
Went to see Les Miserables tonight - awesome. Hugh Jackman must be main Bafta and Oscar contender.
