Waxwing in da Sycamore

No frost this morning, but another cold day!  Windy with wintery showers of hail, sleet and wet snow this evening.  Some sunny spells too.

Another day working on the museum desk, and a steady day for the time if year.   I've also been working late in the museum.  There was a talk on tonight, and I also had setups to sort for tomorrow.  A cold walk with Sammy, and now feet up by the fire. 

I had a lovely surprise in the garden this morning, a waxwing.  By the time I got my camera, it had gone. As I walked to my car for work, it flew over head and perched on the sycamore above me, a quick snap before it flew off again.  Lovely birds, and always a pleasure to see.  Heard there's plenty of sightings about just now.  Taken on Hillside Road, Scalloway.
