flooding

North Derbyshire had flood warnings but no one expected the Derwent to spill if banks further downstream. The river runs past at the bottom of our village which is just north of Derby. I took these photos this morning around the bridge which was later closed because the river kept rising.
This car was parked at the end of a drive, he clearly didn't expect the banks to break. The first extra shows how hardy the congregation is at the parish church, or maybe it was a wedding party ??
Apparently the water is expected to peak at 10pm tonight it is causing serious issues, let's hope everyone stays safe.
