Made It

A day of complicated logistics. It was my (Chris) delayed birthday celebration with Immy and Rosie (plus boyfriends).

We’d rented a cottage near Buxton in Derbyshire so it was just a matter of getting everyone there this evening. Rosie came up on the train from Exeter to Derby where I picked her up. Annie drove up earlier in the day to get us checked in and then went over to Nottingham to collect Rosie’s boyfriend (Ted). Immy and boyfriend Ollie drove down from York. We were a bit worried about the weather but having checked with the cottage owners and looked where the flood warnings were, we went for it and it was fine.

Rosie’s train was very delayed so we were last to arrive but by 10.30pm we’d all made it. It’s going to be great to spend some time together.
