Bracken glowing in the sun

A cold frosty morning with the sun shining, so I set out for a walk along Danby Rigg early.  The sun was just melting the ice on some of the plants and along the tops and I liked the way this fern was lit.

Lunchtime we had a short walk around part of Scaling Dam Reservoir.  The light was lovely and the most exciting birds we saw were some Golden Eye ducks, though they kept their distance.  Late lunch for the third time in a row at the Chapel Cafe, Castleton.
