Autumn colours and oil patterns

The Autumn colours are on the main pic - oil patterns on the second extra.

A really wet start to the day gave us the opportunity to spend the morning at Threlkeld quarry and mining museum. Most of the guests really enjoyed it, and we got some fascinating shots. Mu second extra of the oil patterns was oil and rain on a railway sleeper.

We then relocated to Great wood and Calfclose Bay. The water was calm, and snow had fallen on Allen Crags, Great End and Scafell Pike in the far distance, (first extra). The colours of the trees in the foreground were pretty spectacular.

Despite the wet start, we all had a pretty good day.
