MM - Medusa, a profile.........
The theme for the MM challenge this week is profile and I've always liked this mini representation of Medusa and decided to try and blip it in profile. The Roman author Ovid described the mortal Medusa as a beautiful maiden seduced by Poseidon in a temple of Athena. Such a sacrilege attracted the goddess' wrath, and she punished Medusa by turning her hair to snakes.
It was only after I'd put the camera away that I remembered we also have a bust of Julius Caesar in the spare wardrobe - maybe that will provide inspiration on another rainy day. Thank you for the response to yesterday's blip and thank you MerrillHope for hosting the MM challenge
