Dead Pretty!

Our last full day in San Diego we decided to visit Old Town which is a charming preserved original San Diego - though inevitably saturated with gift shops and tourist attractions. Here L tried to start up a conversation with a local but she was apparently mortified and refused to speak! Later very wonderful dinner at an Italian restaurant - the owner/chef came and talked to us and told us of how he learned his trade under a British chef in France and so I chose the Beef Wellington, which was amazing and he actually asked us to try his version of sticky toffee pudding and give our verdict - it was exceptionally good - also accompanied by a fine Sangiovese Kevin!
