Across the Border

Time to change countries today and so we caught a Lyft to the airport where the plane is resting and dropped off some things we didn’t need like dirty clothes then proceeded to the pedestrian border with Mexico where inefficiency reigns but we made it across OK. This view from the footbridge of the vehicle border crossing into the US - it is difficult to imagine just how many people are crossing this border every day - this is just a snapshot and represents only those who are officially going through the customs and passport control! Extra of the mountain we flew over to land on the runway just to our left - done in pitch dark and requiring at least a thousand foot clearance meant a very steep descent to this airport when we arrived!
