The latter days of autumn

Quite a sharp frost this morning. The lids of my plastic pseudo cold frames had thin ice on them, but the day's turned out quite sunny, if cold. I haven't been out because my wretched foot is very sore after the walk on Tuesday, but I did walk up Laurel Road this afternoon to photograph this maple in a local garden. Every time I've passed it for several weeks I meant to take a picture and today I've caught it in the sun - the leaves are hanging on but not for long, I suspect!
