Dinner time

I kind of (already) dread the volume of food the boys will one day get through.  This is some of the bread for dinner (soup and bread), and they are only 3 & 4....   Carbs will be my friend in years to come. 

Productive day with work, which is good as the last few have felt anything but.  Then the school run.  Had to question the teacher about the nativity play, which is on at 2pm and 7pm on a Monday evening. The note that came home said explicitly that Reception children should attend both.  Not my boy, 7pm is past bed time, he is 'excused', but I'm kind of astounded that the school expect this and can't think it's a great example to set (I get the counter argument that it's to allow parents to get to the nativity...)

The eldest read his book very nicely at dinner time, there were no requests for the TV when we got home, instead reading and playing with toys (HURRAH!)
