The Jackdaw

In my five years of blipping I have posted shots of a good variety of birds. But I cannot recall blipping a Jackdaw.

This is odd as there are small flocks of them feeding on the beach every day.

They are interesting birds. They are monogamous. Indeed they choose their lifelong partner before they reach sexual maturity. You might say they get engaged. And the couple then do everything together such as building a nest and looking after the young. I don’t know whether they have ever been shown to have an affair,
