Wonders of nature
Every year I look forward to blipping the first sighting of snow on the Lakeland fells as seen from Arnside. This morning the annual show began. This is The Old Man of Coniston as seen from Arnside Pier.
I did a little map measurement and discovered that the straight line distance from where I was standing on the Pier to the summit of the Old Man, seen on the left of the photo, is 28 kilometres. Remarkable what can be seen with a 24x zoom lens.
After lunch another wonder came in sight. This time from the front garden. See today’s extra.
