Cygnus atratus

I've had an outdoorsy day, making the most of the good weather. Firstly, Christina suggested a photographic expedition and, as my RSI was playing up I decided this would be a good idea.  We started with coffee in Milland, then went to look at the trees in Borden Wood, but the light wasn't that great. Then we went to the Buddhist monastery at Chithurst, where the light was still poor, which is a shame as there was a thrush there eating berries (see Extras).

After we went home, I took Polly for her walk and by then the sun had come out and it was quite misty, so I decided to take myself off to Petersfield Heath, which is where I saw this black swan (which is probably the same one Paola blipped a few weeks ago!). Also in Extras is another creature I saw three of...

Right, now I must do that work I was supposed to have done today!
