Armistice Day (But war on the ‘home’ Front)

We went to a very windy and rainswept Prince of Wales Pier for the Two Minutes Silence followed by coffee at the Atherton Suite in the council chambers.
Shortly after we received a telephone call from a very irate and upset Joshua who has been removed from this try out for the coming Commando Course.
The ‘official’ line is that as he has been in continuous training since 23 September 2017 and has yet to gain any experience in his chosen trade, Fitter, his All Arms Course is therefore deferred.

As a consequence Clare and I drove to Barnstaple to take him out for dinner. By the time we arrived he’d calmed down and accepted the decision, I guess it does kind of make sense.
