A very special embroidery

My patchwork teacher has been involved with a group of ladies in the Glasgow Gurdwara and together they have sewn these three magnificent panels to mark the 550th birthday of Guru Nanak the founder of Sikhism.

The panels depict the Three Principles of Gura Nanak ... Honesty, Meditation and Sharing. (Best viewed large)

After covering our heads ad removing our shoes Lorna and I met a lovely Sikh lady who showed us round the Gurdwara which was opened in 2013. I don't think I have ever seen such a huge kitchen.
