Late afternoon at West Kirby beach
Today JanetH came over for the day. We started the day with a hot drink and then went to Neston and walked along the marshes with the aim of photographing some birds. We did get a few bird shots and then stopped off at Nets cafe for lunch. After walking back to the car we decided to drive to West Kirby and walk around the marine lake. This view is overlooking the sands to North Wales, Little Eye and Hilbre Island as the sun was about to set. We then came back for a cup of tea and had a long chat about family history and I showed Janet some sale documents I have relating to the sale of Gatwick farm, where my great, great grandfather and Uncles farmed and which later became Gatwick airport!
Thanks Janet, it was a great day!
