A lucky fish
My special day..........
I started it, a little differently from normal, with a stretch class, at the gym, at 8 am. Gil took the class, it wasn't bad. And, hey, the membership system, in the gym, flags when it is your birthday, so the people at the door, were the first to officially, wish me in person.
After the stretching, it was on to Springs.
Mom needed a hair cut and seemed to not be able to find, anyone to take her, to the hairdresser - so I told her, I would take her. She got an appointment for 10.30 am, sort of ....................... I think Terry, just squeezed her in. But, unlike my hairdresser, Terry keeps time, quite well, she was in the hairdresser for about 30 minutes.
It was a good birthday present.
Seriously, she walked in, angry and frustrated and walked out, HAPPY !
The difference was amazing.
From here, we went to the mall, for lunch. We chose the alternative fish restaurant, The John Dorey. It's named after a fish. The blip explains a little.
We didn't have John Dorey - we had the sole. It was nice, but a little skimpy on portion size, especially for me - I opted for the vegetables and not the chips. The extra is a selfie, just before our fish arrived.
PS. Along the way, Mom bought me a pair of shoes, black sandals - the plus of being the birthday girl, you look and you get.
After lunch, I took her home and then, drove back to Edenvale.
It was a long way to drive, but do feel "lucky" that I am able to celebrate my day, with her........at 88, there is coming a birthday, that she won't be here.
