stargazing

lazy start to the day, listening to Sounds of the Sixties in bed till after 9, then late breakfast with the paper till time to go out, and from there it was all go. had to go and check out washing machines at a retail park just opposite the cinema, then to a matinee of Les Mis, which I thought was amazing, especially Hugh Jackman. Home at 5 and out the door again at 10 past to get to the stargazing event at New Lanark. The sky was clear for about 45 minutes until it clouded over, but there was a good view, though I must confess I was more interested in trying to take a few photos. Not a huge success as I remembered wrongly a metal railing I was going to attach the gorillapod to and it didn't work. This one was taken resting the camera and with a star filter, which did work well.

Then to the hotel for a bar supper, and home for QIXL on TV, and here we are!
