Spooky stories

I hosted an evening of Spooky stories last night. Made the house all dark, only candles to surprise the guests, and a Spooky soundtrack playing.

Then: lights on, food, conversation, Gluhwein, until it was time to retire to the room with the flickering fire and the black cat....

I even managed to learn a really long traditional tale (Algernon Blackwood's version of The Wendigo, published 1910) and a couple more. Personal anecdotes and tales abounded, too.
The guests stayed till midnight.

Glad I managed to make a success of it, on top of a shift at Tewkesbury club for young adults.
