Diary of an Edinburgher

Sofa day (again)

JR went to the gym this morning, but it was downhill after that - she's been wrapped up on the sofa all day. She couldn’t even be lured out for a coffee (and scone!). She's not desperately ill, but just needed to have a warm, lazy day.

Pretzel didn’t join us today, as the son of the house was off school. So she missed a walk up the hill with Archie and I. And it was super - no wind, still frosty in places. Archie met a big old golden retriever (also called Archie) on the summit - and they had a bit of a run around. He's watching him arriving in this shot.

The three of us relaxed by the fire in the afternoon, with at least one of us dozing at any one time, and quite a lot of the time, all of us. We tried to start watching 'The Crown' - tried last night, but it kept stopping (too many folk watching it, I presume) but it stopped again. I read an article this week by somebody who’s already looking forward to Netflix's handling of the Prince Andrew debacle. The Royal Family scandals of the past seem rather ho-hum compared to this one, which will only get worse.
