Top o' the Rock
We had been standing in line to get into the Empire State Building for about 15 minutes, and only moved about 20 feet when a friendly New Yorker came up and told us to go uptown a little bit. He said that although we would still have to pay to take the elevator to the top of Rockefeller Plaza, there was no queue, and it cost less.
And the view from the Top of the Rock included the famous shape of the Empire State Building.
By the time we got uptown and upstairs the sun had already set, and New York lay spread before us, dazzling and twinkling.
An amazing town.
