Southwold Lighthouse

Southwold in Suffolk has a rather impressive lighthouse.  It is situated in the centre of the town and is fully operational (albeit automated nowadays).
Southwold is also the home town of Adnams Brewery and they even produce a bottled beer named 'Lighthouse' in recognition of its importance.
Another bright but very breezy day - and very cold in the wind. 
We had a walk along the pier (see Mrs MD's Blip) and met this chap (see extra) fishing off the end. Such dedication. After a brief chat we left him to his chilly pastime and retreated into the Boardwalk Cafe for a scone and a hot chocolate - to thaw out :-)
