Attracting butterflies

I have planted perennials to attract butterflies - such as black eyed susan, cone flower, and lavender; annuals including lantana, marigold, nasturtium and sunflowers; shrubs to attract butterflies are daisies and lilac.
And it has worked.
How could they resist an invitation like this?
