Well what a day yesterday was. We had arranged to meet Jane's sisters and other halves for lunch near Cirencester for lunch. So I posted my 365 blip early. We had good food and wine (well some of us), The Bathurst Arms were welcoming and (of course) the company was brilliant. This is the last time we will see S&S before their holiday to New Zealand in a few weeks (very jealous); any suggestions on things they should not miss, places to stay or eat gratefully accepted and passed on to them.

By the time we got back the entry had hit the Spotlight and had more comments than anything else I have blipped. Thrilled, so thanks to everyone that viewed and commented.

With the leap year this entry marks a full calendar of blips.

This morning we had a trip into town for the Farmers' Market. No barley bread left because we left it too late but Jane have found a spelt and rye loaf to try - one minor problem is that it is bloody expensive for a loaf of bread. I think we are going to have to have another go at baking our own barley bread again; the last few loaves have not been a great success.

Later we went to the Sir Harold Hillier Gardens. I was surprised to see snowdrops, daffodils and camellias in flower already. The hamamelis and hellebores were wonderful but this grass head is my favourite photo. I like the way the light is falling on the grass.
