Birthday Time

I will not rant, I will not rant, I will not................
Today is the 21st November and birthdays of my niece in New Zealand and my
friend of many talents in Ireland and so Instead of ranting I’m sending kind thoughts over the seas to them both.

It is also 5 weeks until Christmas which means that every shop in Edinburgh city centre is bedecked with garlands of coloured baubles and flashing lights and at least one pedestrian street abutting Princes Street is a theme park of helter skelters, dodgems and Santa’s grottos.
Most of the city’s residents that I know are in despair........ but.......... I will stop before I break today’s resolution. There will be no rant today from this Lady- I am trying to rise above the turmoil
